A Jetty Garden.

On a beautiful warm eve in August we had a magical evening with my Logos , Bertie and his delightful partner Betty who is a very talented artist . She guide the picture of me pushing Pip in the wheelbarrow which I utilise as a gravatar picture . She also make the picture of me worshipping snowdrops for my snowdrop posts . The Beastie in my ‘ Something funny in the woodshed ’ post was hers too . She has promised me more pictures for my blog for which I am very thankful . She is so talented and she makes me attend so young when she draws a picture of me . Thank you Betty . Bertie and Betty are not their real names , but for some intellect best know to themselves these are the names they expend for their workplace . These two lovely people are canny , odd and incredibly originative . They are also quite mad but this is part of their charm . You never quite know what they will do next . Of course these people get into ’ t last in an average theater like other the great unwashed . They live on a born-again Thames boodle lighter berth on a beautiful river in Suffolk . This is the view from their boat .

Living on a boat doesn ’ thymine have in mind that they wear ’ t have a garden . Far from it . They have created a fantastic jetty garden with everything grow in wad . My Word is as bad as me for acquiring yet more and more plants . I am impressed at his greenfingers because everything looks so good for you . Betty too loves her garden .

They have slews of striking foliage with vast tree fern and bamboos . They have Acers and Fatsia japonica with lovely foliage . Their hostas are bigger and healthier than any I have seen anywhere . I have a go at it the Hydrangea paniculata ‘ Limelight ’ in front of Hosta ‘ Sum and Substance’ . They have fruit trees include Malus pumila and   a Libyan Fighting Group . They even have a Magnolia ’ Susan ’ which is a very good choice . Most of the impact come from the endearing greenish foliage plants but they have flowers too .

There are even suite ; one is for the barbeque and board and chair .

The grass Hakonechloa macra is huge and sizable . The tree on the right of the picture below is a mimosa ; Acacia pravissima which my son grew from seminal fluid .

As darkness fall my boy illumine the flack so that we could linger outdoors and put the earth to right wing in the lovely sitting area . Last metre we went there was even an sometime fashioned received lamp out here and a beautiful rug . Little light amount on and the garden look like phantasy world .

We were sad to go home at the destruction of the eve . But it is always interesting walk past Betty ’ s shed . As I enounce she is an creative person but she is also a beachcomber and a pack rat and she always hoard uncanny and marvellous objects . And off we pass away down the passage and into the dark of the wood . One last attend back into the magical garden .

What an amazing blank space – just evince what you may do with a bit of imaging and unripened digit . Bertie and Betty sound like sport people to be around .

Now that is just a wonderful garden ! It looks like such an enchanting space , one you ’d fuck to slack and socialise in .

What an idyllic place . Both of them have worked really hard to achieve a welcoming outer space in their unlawful home – just goes to show what can really be reach with container horticulture . Well done Bertie and Betty . Thanks for sharing it with us Chloris .

I spot of me would make love to subsist like that ..

Wow , Bertie and Betty are fun ! I ’m so impressed with all those plants in pots ! Looking at the long shots , I ’d never get it on that the plant life were all potted ! That s incredible , and they all count so , so good for you . Well done !

Bertie and Betty seem to be make the most of their life . The healthy surrounding of plant can only be projections of their happiness with each other and the life they ’ve choose . What more could a female parent require for the next propagation ?

A Federal Reserve note to Bertie : My guess is that being a slug is a manifestation of the clout ’s karma . In sending the slugs off , perhaps you ’re allow them to move up the karmic run .

What a unique and magical haven Chloris from which it must be unvoiced to tear yourself away at the death of an evening . I would love to do it what methods of shellfish ascendancy Bertie and Betty use . I ’ve just had a pleasant surprisal whilst reading this post . I google the musical phrase ‘ saccharify light boat ’ ( not being sure what it was ) and came across a reference to a Shippey ’s Fish and Chips in New Zealand , which used to merchandise from a sugar lighter boat . Shippey was my maid name 🙂

What a marvelous garden prepare full use of the place , a really tremendous piazza to cool down out .
