Whilepinksandpurplesmight not be everyone ’s cup of tea , Ainsley Mumford Jones in Asheville , North Carolina , has do this color pallette perfectly .

As contrast color , violet and fleeceable are a Hellenic combination . Using these cooler tone , Ainsley has created a signified of calm in this full - Dominicus bed with varied foliage textures backdropping a dada of purple woodland sage ( Salvianemorosa , Zones 4–8 ) .
City gardensaren’t usually the most talkative spaces , but Ainsley manages to pull in her visitor in with shady paths and seating expanse surrounded by flowers . Here , tripping purple phlox and bright pinkish genus Dianthus ( perhapsDianthusgratianopolitanus‘Firewitch ’ , Zones 3–9 ) lead you down Oliver Stone steps to the informal garden beyond .
Yet another purple plant that look large in so many gardens — Rozanne geranium(Geranium‘Rozanne ’ , zone 4–8)—is also paired absolutely with various dark glasses of green foliage .

Invoking the colors of a breathtaking sunset , Ainsley pairs a light-colored pink dianthus ( perhapsDianthus‘Bath ’s Pink ’ , Zones 3–8 ) and purple catmint ( Nepetaspp . and cvs . , Zones 3–9 ) with the swirling orange tree in the stone tiles that form their smallpatio . It ’s well-to-do to pair up plant colors when range the baby’s room or garden center , but do n’t forget to take the surrounding hardscaping into circumstance too .
