On Monday April 8 , during the EPS conference in Lunteren , Dr. Peter Bourke from Plant Breeding , Wageningen University & Research , received the Hugo de Vries Award from the Royal Botanical Society of the Netherlands ( KNBV ) . The honor is for his Ph.D. dissertation " transmitted mapping in polyploids " on which he receive his PhD ( cum laude ) in June 2018 at Wageningen University & Research .
