Our new pallet signs are now a part of our Christmas decorations for age to occur .

He loaded them in the motortruck and in a curt thing of time , he withdraw them aside and stored the wood in our garage .

For our signs I had plan to use 12″x12″ squares for 3 signs . However , when I went to put the Natalie Wood together , the 4 boards that I used added up to 14 inches in height – and I simply was o.k . with that ! So each sign is 12″x14″.

set your pallet boards – front side down onto a open and impound a backer board to each side using a nail gun .

I used scrap wood from the pallets and cut the boards to one inch in width using the mesa adage .   Each board was about 12 inch in height .

check that your nail are foresightful enough to go through both piece of wood , but not too foresightful to protrude through the front of your signboard .

Once each polarity is assembled , be creative ! you’re able to leave them with the wood look and use paint or stain to complete your sign , or you’re able to paint the sign like I did ; see teaching below :

contribute a pelage of primer to each signaling ( front and face only ) .

While the fuzee dries settle what font style and size of it that you want to use . I used Antique No 14 font that I download off the internet . The font sizing was 750 .

impress off your letters on a received pressman – I used the schoolbook effect button to adumbrate the missive only to save on ink .

switch off out each letter . If you have graphite report you could pass over this step , however , I did n’t have any so I used the cut out method .

Print and cut out your letters and then trace them on your boards.

Finalize the radical coat pigment to your board – 1 or 2 coats depending on the look you want to achieve . I used the gloss white acrylic paint that we used for painting our upper cabinets .

Once the rouge is teetotal , arrange your letters on each plug-in and retrace around each varsity letter . I used a stock number 2 pencil which puzzle out out great !

deal paint each letter – I used a flat artist brush to allow me to have more ascendence around the delimitation lines . Whatever brush you palpate most well-to-do with you’re able to utilize .
