In the Polish city Kargowa , Dutch enterpriser Bert de Graaf and Marcel Muster start a new tulip glasshouse : Flora Tulips . This month , the first flowers will be harvest , the arrant second to put the project in the spotlight . We talk with Flora Munster , Marcel ’s girl and responsible for the timber and production at the fellowship .
" At that location , the Dutch enterpriser Bert de Graaf already had his own company where he packed bulbs and flowers , " she says . " Together , separate from that fellowship but right next to the company , we built a nursery , including a processing hallway and cooling cell . Marcel is a tulip agriculturist , Bert have intercourse the Polish market and thanks to their knowledge and experience we were able-bodied to realize Flora Tulips .
" The nursery was born out of the desire to get closer to the consumer , " she continues . " We wanted to work more business to consumer instead of business organization to business . By setting up this company , we cut several data link in the chain and in twist can vouch a good caliber of the blossom as they are fresher and less transport is needed . "

On top of the advantage of local production , the local demand is expectant ( rise ) , the entrepreneurs say . In universal smaller producer are participating in the securities industry , but a fellowship as Flora Tulips , with a sizing of 2 ha and a Dutch backdrop , did not be yet . " That makes us a unique thespian in the Polish market . "
After harvest , the peak are being bunched , sleeved and labelled . Then , they are being put on water supply and placed in the cooling . When the flower are station out , they are being packed in box on pallets and are being shipped directly to their clients , the Polish supermarket .
