Four seasons in an Oregon garden
Today we ’re inspect Independence , Oregon , to see the garden of Erla Richards through the time of year . She has been on the GPOD before ( hereandhere ) , when she showed us her beautiful garden in spring , but today and tomorrow we ’ll be run across it all throughout the yr .
see through photograph of our garden , we can appreciate the beauty of each season . Spring with its many spectre of green show off the welcome bulbs and smart flowers . It ’s like the language of a strain : “ I ’ve find out the lily energy it ’s way up through the obstinate grunge . I believe in miracle , and I believe in God . ” Then there ’s summer with its kaleidoscope of semblance and fragrance . My favorite time of year , fall , sport the beauty of brilliantly color leaves among the cat valium of conifers that presently fall to the ground to become the root of exercise and backaches . And I do love winter . Winter means slow down a little , with the silhouette of spare branches against the sky and sentence to interpret a volume ( orFine Gardeningmagazine ) in my warm and cozy plate . Each season is a giving .
Rhododendron‘Ramapo ’ ( Zones 4–8),Rhododendronimpeditum(Zones 5–8 ) and bird ’s nest spruce ( Picea abies‘Nidiformis ’ , Zones 2–8 ) , make a path of down under birch rod .
