Several years ago my neighbors and friends Laura and Bruce had an absolutely MONSTER dead tree diagram make down in their back G at the ending of their drive . Seriously , this affair was Brobdingnagian . Luckily , they were able-bodied to drop it over a wooded banking company beyond the yard , and we ’ve been canibalizing it for bonfire ever since . However , the massive podium remains , and it ’s the first affair they see when they pull into their driveway each even . There ’s no way of life they can have the stump remove , so Laura determine that , rather than endeavor to obscure the stump , she ’s start embellishing it .
It ’s become an ever - evolving little garden where she pops in fiddling perennial and bulbs she picks up throughout the season , and a place to display a few relics she ’s picked up on her frequent trips to our amazing local antique flea market , theElephant ’s Trunk . Now , instead of a monolithic admonisher of a dead tree , they see an antique millstone framed by an impressive natural statement and subtly witching little works .
These exposure were taken last calendar week , in mid - May . It just keeps getting better and better as the season progresses.**Be sure to press all the photos on the left !
