Visiting a romantic small garden
On this inhuman wintery day , we ’re looking back to former summer when frequent GPOD contributor Cherry Ong was claver Toronto and went on some garden tour .
Enjoy this beautiful , inspiring garden !
False indigo ( Baptisiaaustralis , Zones 3–9 ) is show off its beautifulpurple flowers . Thisnative perennialcan be slow to establish , but once it settles in it is long - lived , tough , anddrought tolerant .

A beautiful planting in a small shaded area include clouds of hardy geraniums ( Geraniumhybrid , Zones 4–8 ) showing off in the foreground .
Peonies(Paeoniahybrid , Zones 3–8 ) with vast flower heavy withfragrantpetals are carefully staked to keep from flopping .
This appear like it could be the democratic variety ‘ Festiva Maxima ’ , which was introduce in 1851 and is still popular and pass away strong thanks to the beautiful flower , impregnable fragrance , and ironclad disposition .

The velvety silver gray leaves ofSenecio‘Angel Wings ’ ( zone 8–10 or as an annual )
A pottedsucculentmakes a living sculpture .
I love this plantation owner , which is overflow with clean lobelia ( Lobeliaerinus , Zones 10–11 or as an annual ) and a romantically soft pinkish tuberous begonia ( Begoniahybrid , Zones 10–11 or as an annual ) .

A closer look at this container planting
Sometimes simplecontainerplantings are the most effective . This little dianthus ( Dianthushybrid , hardiness varies by form ) with double-dyed white flowers looks incredible replete this potentiometer with rosiness .
tone of green look all the brighter here for the non-white background of a painted fencing that provides privacy to the terrace .
