A meadow full of flowers

I ’m always happy when garden decorator Jay Sifford direct in photos . We ’ve visited his beautiful garden in Charlotte , North Carolina , a few times ( Jay ’s Garden in North Carolina , revisit ) , and today we ’re check in on his second garden up in the tidy sum of westerly North Carolina .

This is year 3 of my Zone 6 North Carolina mountain garden . It has exceeded my first moment , and I had high hopes . I set out to make an immersive , pollinator - friendly , stylized meadow set atop my infected waste pipe field . Artistically , I want to craft something that resembled a three - dimensional Monet painting . I ’m both majestic and humble to say that I think I ’ve accomplished my goals . Happy raspberry songs create a environs - sound experience , and visually , my house painting has add up to life .

cloud of purple geraniums ( Geranium‘Rozanne ’ , Zones 5–8 ) back up and contrast perfectly with the yellow heyday of threadleaf coreopsis ( Coreopsisverticillata , Zones 3–9 ) in the foreground , while cloud of other bloom plant hold out beyond .

Pinky - purple flower ofStachysofficinalis(Zones 4–8 ) take midway level here . The atmosphere clouds of flush are cast anchor by uncompromising shrubs and thebold foliageof irises .

It is well-fixed to see the inspiration of a Monet picture here in this beautiful garden , with clouds of small flowers painting the view .

The luxuriously planted gardenslopesdown to a circle of call for electric chair .

The drear color and round-eyed form of the house are a stark dividing line to the airy , finespun spirit of the garden .

One last persuasion of this incredible garden prove how the surrounding trees envelop around this romantic meadow planting .
