Another visit to a great Canadian garden
Welcome back to Sharon Vickers ’s garden in Surrey , British Columbia , Canada . We saw part of this garden yesterday , and today we ’re back for more colour !
This is the backyard garden . While the front we see yesterday was sunnier and loaded with flower , this part is quieter and greener , though the whiteimpatiensat the bed edge are still there , return wholeness to the whole garden .
This honeyed petty fairy garden is tucked at the root word of a tree , half - hidden among the ferns . What fairy would n’t want to take up residence here ?

More of the backyard — a quite green space . Stone edge gives a nappy definition to the beds , understandably demarcating the edge between lawn and garden bottom . It looks great , and if you have a lot of Edward Durell Stone in your soil , it can be free .
I get laid these two massive planters spill over with tropical foliage sitting in front of the service department . What a dramatic statement they make !
Another view of one of the planters from a dissimilar twelvemonth , when the garage door was a lightsome color . It looks great either way !

Two very different hydrangeas are bear witness off their hooey in this photo . At the left field is the Annabelle hydrangea , and at the center is an incredible , flower - laden climb Japanese hydrangea vine ( genus Schizophragma hydrangeoides , Zones 6–9 ) . Climbing hydrangea can be incredibly beautiful , but they take time to develop and to lead off flowering heavily . If you have a good spot for one , the time to plant it is now so that it has time to sink in and start demonstrate off .
Another view of the same part of the garden . The simple smuggled logic gate makes a clear distinction between the more schematic part of the garden in the front and the shadier area past it .
Every garden involve a plaza to sit and enjoy it . This one looks in particular comfortable and ask over . I ’d jazz to sit back in one of those hot seat , enjoy the garden around me , and booze in the rich scent from the backer ’s trumpet blooming overhead . Gain inspiration for your own garden seating room area here .

One last slice of this wonderful garden ! Here , again , livid impatiens make a clear connexion to everything else , and an enormous plenty of redlucifer crocosmia ( Crocosmia‘Lucifer ’ , zone 6–9 ) steals the show in the center of the bed .
Have a garden you’d like to share?
