Today ’s photos are from Bonnie Pancoast . She says :
In September of 2004 I lost my home and gardens to then Tropical Storm Ivan . ( By the metre it reached the Lehigh Valley in eastern Pennsylvania it had been down - place from hurricane position ) . Less than 3 months after the disaster we moved into our present abode . Not stimulate the finances to begin new garden , I patiently dug up every recurrent and shrub I could deliver from the clay of the old theatre and brought them to our newfangled domicile . The following bound I tried to embed them in shale laden soil . By the sentence the following downfall arrived , I hat everything about the dimension . I could n’t dig mess and almost everywhere I turned I was dealing with an unruly slope . During the leaping of 2006 I discovered a rock and roll wall from a previous owner covered over by dirt and skunk . Thus began the gardens . Discovering my love of hardscaping , I now abrade nearby fields for gem and ask owner of dismantled b if I may salvage the foundation stone . Now , 5 year later , the garden are in a province of becoming and I still look for rock in barren fields .
entry to our base : older farmhouses in Eastern Pennsylvania were often build very close to the road and ours is no exception . When we moved to this home in the fall of 2004 , the front of the mansion was a narrow grass corridor and one pocket-size flower bed . I tardily began removing the sod and created gardenscapes . The last of the sod was remove this spring . A buried downspout was conceal by creating a dry stream bed . I planted annuals to make profoundness and color .

The labyrinth : It has always been my dream to have a labyrinth in my garden . In 2005 I read an clause on labyrinth expression . Five age later on the appropriate garden infinite appeared and the mental synthesis began . I started with a 30 foot winter kitty cut through to place over the green goddess . Next landscape gardening block and Belgian blocks were buy through Craigslist . Using the article I had printed five years originally , I began laying the blocks . To create a positive energy the internal circuits are made of clean crystal excavate on the attribute . Once the circuits were completed , mulch was added . The intact unconscious process took only two days . The lechatelierite stand up Lucy Stone was put back by a soapstone statue , The Dreamer , purchased from 10,000 Villages , an inspiration to never stop conceive and never top woolgather .
