Looking back at last year’s blooms
We ’re visiting with Kevin Kelly today .
Today I am direct you on a brief critical review of my garden in 2022 . As I am design for a new growing season , it was nice to see over a few photos and see what I like and what I would wish to heighten in the approaching growing season . I am in Harrisburg , PA , Zone 6b . My dwelling house is in a residential vicinity and sit down on just under a third of an Akka .
This is a view of my front yard in earlyAugust . Over the years I have scaled back much of thelawn , so it is now principally route and serve to breathe the eye from the exuberant delimitation . Hydrangea paniculataWhite rhomb ® (Zones 3–8 ) makes quite a statement .

I love this impulsion ofMyosotis(forget - me - nots , Zones 5–9 ) that have seed into this seam along the walk leading to the front door .
Marchis such a wonderful meter forhellebores . This one is ‘ wintertime Bliss’(Helleborus× ericsmithii‘Champion ’ , Zones 5–8 ) . I grow about 20cultivars . They look great year around and contribute to thematrix layer(which covers the ground , winnow out the want for mulch , and knits the margin together ) .
This is part of acrevice gardenI built in the front yard in March 2022 . I took this pic one calendar month after implant . I am looking fore to seeing how it will look this spring .

Allium‘Purple mavin ’ ( Zones 3–9 ) bloom in lateMayand is a wonderful transition from the earlyspring bloomersand thesummer perennial . This cultivarnaturalizeswell .
This is a photo fromJanuarylooking out from where we rust our meals . The maple isAcerrubrum‘October Glory ’ ( Zones 4–9 ) .
One of my favorite combination inJuly : Joe Pye weed(Eutrochium purpureum‘Little Red ’ , Zones 4–8 ) is in the back , Hydrangea paniculataBobo ® is to the right , andClethraalnifolia(Zones 4–9 ) is to the left hand .

When I assume this photo I was standing on my driveway face over the border across myfront K . There is a flagstone path obscure in there .
I know thiscombination in the crepuscle : Calico aster(Symphyotrichum lateriflorum , Zones 4–8 ) paired withViburnumnudum‘Brandywine ’ ( zona 5–9 ) .
